Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Swevo ("we", "us", "our") collects when you visit swevo.app, join our waitlist, or use the Swevo mobile app, and how we handle that data. Swevo is currently in pre-launch — the scope below reflects what the product actually does today and will be expanded as features ship.
Who we are
Swevo is operated by an independent developer. For any privacy question, request, or complaint you can reach us at [email protected].
What we collect
- Waitlist email. When you submit your email through a "Notify me" form, we store the address, the date you submitted it, your marketing-consent confirmation, and the page or button that captured it. We use this only to email you when Swevo launches and, if you opt in, occasional product updates.
- Demo chat interactions. If you try the interview-prep demo on the homepage, we record which scenarios you opened and which actions you tapped, anonymously, so we can improve the experience. No content you type is sent to a server.
- Technical data. Like every web server, ours logs IP address, user-agent, and request paths for security and abuse prevention. These logs are kept for a short period and are not used to build a profile of you.
- In-app analytics (mobile app only). If you install the Swevo mobile app and explicitly opt in, we collect anonymous usage events (e.g. "session started", "question completed") via Aptabase, and crash reports via Sentry. No analytics or crash data is sent if you decline consent.
- Website analytics (with your consent). If you accept the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled to understand which pages visitors find useful. No analytics scripts load if you decline. You can change your mind at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.
What we do not collect
We do not sell your data. We do not run third-party advertising trackers on this website. We do not have access to your interview answers, notes, or any content you create inside the mobile app — that data stays on your device unless and until we ship a sync feature, which will be opt-in and disclosed separately.
Cookies
This site uses a small number of cookies and localStorage entries that are strictly necessary
for the site to work — remembering your dark-mode preference, your demo-chat progress, your cookie
consent choice, and (after launch) your sign-in session. We do not set advertising or third-party
tracking cookies. If you accept the cookie banner, Google Analytics will also set its own cookies; if
you decline, no analytics cookies are set.
Third-party processors
We rely on a small number of vendors to run the service. Each only receives the data they need:
- Hosting & email infrastructure — to deliver this website and send you launch and product emails.
- Aptabase — anonymous, privacy-friendly product analytics for the mobile app, only when you opt in.
- Sentry — error and crash reporting for the mobile app, only when you opt in.
- Stripe — payment processing once subscriptions go live; we never see or store your card details.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA, and similar regimes), you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. You can unsubscribe from waitlist and product emails using the link at the bottom of any message we send.
Children
Swevo is intended for adults preparing for technical interviews. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
When we materially change this policy we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where required by law, notify you by email. Continued use of the site or app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
